World Model Hackathon
Overview
The World Model Hackathon challenges you to build games, simulations, agentic systems, or web projects using world models. You'll use provided kits and SDKs to create innovative solutions that demonstrate technical skill and creativity. This hackathon is focused on actually shipping projects that utilize world models.
Requirements
Participants must be of legal age and can form teams of 2 to 4 members. All countries are welcome to join, with standard exceptions. Your project must run consistently and function as described, and it must be newly created for this hackathon. While you can prepare mockups or fine-tune world models beforehand, no coding is allowed before the event starts. Specific tracks have additional requirements, like using world model-generated environments for filmmaking or interactive elements for gaming. When submitting, include a ~45-second demo video, a text description, your build file (APK, WebXR link, or web app URL), and list all paid software used. All files should be uploaded to Google Drive in a specific folder structure.
Prizes
There is a total prize pool of $8,000 in cash. Prizes are awarded across several categories, including $1,000 each for Best Filmmaking, Entertainment, Simulation App and Best Gaming, UGC Experience, both with an additional $500 in Marble API credits. Several PICO-specific categories each offer $1,500, including Best World Models Implementation, Best Agentic Mission Control, Best Emulator Project, and Best WebSpatial Project.
