University of Washington Databricks Hackathon
Overview
The University of Washington Databricks Hackathon challenges students to help farmers worldwide by developing solutions for anomaly detection and forecasted yield simulations using Databricks. You'll work with historical yield and weather data to identify correlations, flag anomalies, and build predictive models.
Requirements
This hackathon is for University of Washington students only, aged 18 or older, and teams must consist of 3 to 4 members. Companies and professional organizations are excluded. Participants must submit their project on Devpost by adding all team members' names, including a public GitHub repository, a 2-minute demo video (public YouTube link), and a brief project write-up detailing the ideation, development process, use of Databricks, and any other tools used. The hackathon is US only.
Prizes
There are 3 non-cash prizes. The first-place winner receives a Databricks Lululemon Everywhere Backpack and an Owala Water Bottle. The second-place winner gets a Databricks Lululemon Everywhere Backpack, and the third-place winner receives an Owala Water Bottle.
