Scarlet Hacks

Overview

Scarlet Hacks is a 24-hour hackathon hosted by ACM IIT at Illinois Tech, challenging students to dream, build, and launch solutions. It features four high-impact tracks: Intelligent Healthcare, Finance, Corporate Innovation, and Environmental Sustainability.

Requirements

This hackathon is open to US-based students above the legal age of majority. Teams can have up to 4 members. Your project must be functional and built primarily during the 24-hour hackathon, aligning with one of the four tracks. It should solve a real-world problem and include a working prototype, demonstrate clear use of technology, and have a GitHub repository. Submissions on Devpost must include a project title and description, a live demo or screenshots, the source code, and optionally, a presentation.

Prizes

Scarlet Hacks offers 4 non-cash prize categories. The Best FinTech Project and Best Sustainability Project each receive a $250 Visa gift card. The Focused Lab Best Corporate Innovation Project award includes 4 mechanical keyboards. For the LOF Best Use of AI in a Healthcare Project, there are three prizes: $500 Amazon gift card for 1st place, $300 for 2nd, and $200 for 3rd.
