Reality Hack @ MIT 2026
Overview
Reality Hack @ MIT 2026 is an experiential technology hackathon focused on AR/VR, inviting participants to build the future of these immersive technologies. Hosted at MIT, the event runs from January 22-26, 2026. It's designed to educate and empower people to get involved in the AR/VR industries, with a beginner-friendly approach and opportunities to explore machine learning and AI.
Requirements
To participate, you must be above the legal age of majority in your country and required to form a team. All countries are welcome, with the usual exceptions. By the deadline of January 25, 2026, at 11:00 PM UTC, you must submit your code via a link to Github/Codeberg on your realityhack.world team page. You also need a 30-second to 1-minute sizzle reel video on your Devpost page, and your Devpost page itself must be created, with the rest of the details filled out by 6:00 PM on Sunday. A longer 2-minute video is highly recommended for personal portfolios.
Prizes
There are 2 non-cash prizes available, with details to be announced later. These prizes are track-dependent, and there will be 26 winners for each prize category.
