PyTorch Dendritic Optimization Hackathon
Overview
This hackathon challenges you to build smarter, smaller, and cheaper machine learning models using Dendritic Optimization with PyTorch. You'll apply this technique to an existing PyTorch project to improve its efficiency. The goal is to make ML models more accessible and cost-effective.
Requirements
Participants need to bring a functional PyTorch project to improve, as this isn't about building from scratch. The hackathon involves applying Dendritic Optimization and potentially using Weights and Biases for hyperparameter sweeps. Submissions must be made as pull requests to a provided repository. Eligibility is open to individuals above the legal age of majority in their country, with no specific country restrictions beyond standard exceptions. The event runs online.
Prizes
There's a total of $18,500 in cash prizes. The first-place winner receives $3,000, second place gets $2,000, and third place gets $1,000. Additionally, there are 25 "Hackathon Inception" prizes of $500 each.
