Pulse AI Miami Intellectual Disability Hackathon

Overview

This hackathon challenges you to build a technology-based reinforcement platform that helps individuals with intellectual disabilities improve their daily independence. You'll focus on strengthening learning processes like encoding, abstraction, and retrieval for practicing therapy skills. The goal is to create tools that support users with challenges in working memory and abstract thinking, using AI to simplify complex concepts.

Requirements

Participants must be above the legal age of majority in their country and are welcome from all countries and territories, with standard exceptions. You need to build a functional prototype that includes a client-facing tool with interactive practice, a supportive interface, and engagement features, along with safety tools. A therapist-facing dashboard is a bonus. All text in your project must be at a 6th-grade reading level or lower, and multilingual support in English and Spanish is a plus. You'll need to submit your GitHub repository and answer all submission questions.

Prizes

There is one non-cash prize for this hackathon, with the winner and the prize to be announced as a surprise. More details will be revealed later.
