Proof of Concept

Overview

Proof of Concept is an 8-week virtual competition organized by XION, inviting everyone from students to experienced developers to create mobile applications that securely and undeniably prove any data on the internet. The competition focuses on leveraging verifiable data, specifically through zkTLS technology and XION's tools, to build trust in innovative ways. Whether you aim to verify online activity, personal achievements, or critical data, this event is designed to be beginner-friendly, prioritizing creativity and impact.

Requirements

Participants can join as individuals or teams. The core requirement is to build an iOS or Android mobile app from scratch, utilizing XION's Mobile Development Kit (Dave). Your app must incorporate zkTLS for verifiable internet data and connect to an on-chain source of truth. Submissions need to include a project name, a 100-300 word description, team information, tech stack details, a link to a public GitHub repository, a demo link for a working prototype, screenshots, installation instructions, and an explanation of how the app aligns with the hackathon theme. Optional but encouraged submissions include a presentation/pitch deck and a roadmap.

Prizes

The competition offers a substantial prize pool totaling $25,000 in cash, distributed across multiple stages. This includes prizes for the Ideathon ($2,500 total), each of the three checkpoints (e.g., $1,250 for 1st place at Checkpoint 1), and the final judging phase ($7,500 for 1st place, $5,000 for 2nd, $2,500 for 3rd). Beyond cash, winners can receive mentorship, pre-seed funding opportunities, support from an accelerator program, and potential investment from VCs.
