Overview

Join the Perplexity Hackathon in London to build internet-enabled projects that inspire curiosity and knowledge seeking using the Perplexity API. Work solo or in teams of up to 4 for 24 hours to create custom agents that can answer complex questions. This event is a fantastic opportunity to explore new product ideas powered by AI.

Requirements

Anyone 18 or older, with approved registration on Luma, can participate, though some countries are excluded. You can form a team of up to 4 members or participate solo. Your project must integrate at least one capability from the Perplexity API Platform and demonstrate its use for real-world exploration or knowledge discovery. Submissions require a working project, a public code repository (like GitHub) with a README, a demo video up to 5 minutes long, a written summary, and team details.

Prizes

The hackathon has a total prize pool of £8,000 in cash. The first-place winner receives £5,000, second place gets £2,000, and third place receives £1,000. All participants will also receive exclusive Perplexity swag.
