PeerBridge Mental Health Hacks

Overview

This hackathon challenges youth worldwide to build tech solutions that improve mental health accessibility and reduce stigma. You can create apps, campaigns, or digital platforms focusing on empathy, safe spaces, cultural understanding, or education. Your work can make mental health support more inclusive and help people talk openly about well-being.

Requirements

Participants must be between 13 and 25 years old and currently students. The hackathon is open globally, with standard exceptions. Teams should build projects that fit into one of the five tracks, focusing on mental, emotional, or social wellness. Submissions must include a video demo up to 4 minutes long, a written project description detailing purpose, features, technologies, and impact, and the source code in a public repository with a clear README. A live demo link is optional but recommended.

Prizes

There is a total of $750 in cash prizes distributed across two age categories: High School (ages 13-19) and Adult/Post-Secondary (ages 20-25). First place winners in each category receive $200 cash, with lower cash amounts for other top placements. Many prizes also include various software subscriptions, vouchers, and certificates of achievement. There are also prizes for runners-up and general participation.
