Overview

The MiniMax 2025 AI Hackathon (Hong Kong) is an open AI-themed hackathon welcoming professionals and enthusiasts alike. Utilizing MiniMax's advanced AI tools for text, image, video, sound, and music, participants can unleash their creativity. The event offers two tracks: Developer Track for coding projects aiming to solve real-world problems with social or commercial value, and Creator Track for non-coders to express ideas through AI-generated film or music. Top participants have opportunities for funding and showcasing projects to investors.

Requirements

Participants must be above the legal age of majority and from any country/territory (excluding standard exceptions). The event is free to enter. Developer Track requires coding knowledge and submission of a project URL, open-source code repository, text description, demo video (max 2 mins), and team info. Creator Track (film/music) requires a public link to the work (min 1 min, 16:9 aspect ratio), text description, and team info. All submissions must be original creations during the hackathon period and adhere to content guidelines, prohibiting malicious use, copyrighted code/materials, explicit content, and sensitive topics. Submissions can be in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese.

Prizes

1 non-cash prize with 10 winners. Details are TBA. Prizes may include cash, MiniMax points, and opportunities to pitch to investors or receive startup funding.
