London Music Technology Hackathon

Overview

This hackathon challenges you to create an audio app in just 24 hours. You can build upon the MuseHub platform, extending tools like MuseScore or Audacity, or develop something unique for guitar or piano players. Alternatively, you can build on the Audiotool online DAW using their APIs. The goal is to innovate in music technology and potentially reach thousands of users.

Requirements

Teams need to have between 2 to 5 members, and all participants must be of legal age in their country of residence. The hackathon is open to participants worldwide, with standard exceptions for trade restrictions. You should aim to build a working prototype of a music technology project, which could be an app, plugin, interactive tool, or hardware/software integration. Your project can be based on the sponsor challenges or an original idea, and it should clearly demonstrate functionality. When submitting, teams must provide a project description, a demo video no longer than 3 minutes, the code or a link to the prototype, team details, and specify which challenge track their project belongs to.

Prizes

The main prize is for the 'Best app for Muse Hub', which offers a non-cash award where your app will be featured on the Musehub.com landing page. The winner also receives support from Muse Hub to help commercialize and distribute their app to over 3 million users. Additionally, there are opportunities related to the Audiotool challenge, including being featured in their newsletter and launch campaign, plus up to $5,000 in Google Cloud credits.
