JEWEL CITY HACKS 3.0

Overview

JEWEL CITY HACKS 3.0 challenges participants to create innovative B2C and B2B solutions focused on improving the City of Glendale. You'll use technology to make cities smarter, more connected, and inclusive, potentially developing tools for public transit, civic engagement, or city services. This event is open to students and professionals, with access to mentors and hardware like VR headsets and microcontrollers.

Requirements

This hackathon is for participants aged 14+ in the US only and requires admission via Luma. Teams can be 1-4 members. Submissions should include a project name with an elevator pitch, a description of the project and its development, a repository link, and team member details on Devpost. Although submissions are due by 6:15 PM PT on November 15th, 2025, the judging will not happen on Devpost. Presentations will be 3 minutes long in front of judges.

Prizes

There are three non-cash prizes: the JCH 3.0 Grand Champion Trophy for the overall winner, a trophy for the Best Software Hack, and a trophy for the Best Hardware Hack.
