JACHacks 2026
Overview
JACHacks 2026 is a 24-hour in-person hackathon hosted by John Abbott College where student teams will work together to build projects in areas like education and AI. You'll have mentors available to help and the chance to win various prizes after demoing your creations.
Requirements
This hackathon is for students only, and participants must be above the legal age of majority in their country. Teams should have between 2 to 4 members. All projects must be hosted on a code hosting platform like GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket and a link to the repository must be submitted. Submissions should also include screenshots or videos of the project for preliminary judging.
Prizes
There are 15 non-cash prizes available. The first-place winner gets $200 gift cards per person (max $800 total) and MLH winner pins. Second place receives a one-year subscription to NordSec products (like Nord VPN, Nord Pass) and MLH winner pins. Third place gets a 3-month access and €200 for nexos.ai, plus MLH winner pins. Additional prizes include gift cards for Best Beginner Hack, ITS Challenge, Best Science Students Project, Best Use of Gemini API (Google Swag Kits), Best Use of ElevenLabs (Wireless Earbuds), Best Use of Solana (Ledger Nano S Plus), Best Use of Vultr (Portable Screens), Best .Tech Domain Name (Desktop Microphone & Domain), and various subscriptions/credits for using specific tools like Backboard.io, HelloNash.ai, and CMO.dog.
