Innovatera Hackathon

Overview

The Innovatera Hackathon is an online event focused on empowering Egyptian women to lead in tech by developing AI-driven health and environmental solutions. Teams will create mobile-first applications addressing critical challenges faced by women in Egypt, fostering social impact and inclusion.

Requirements

This hackathon requires teams of 5 members, with at least 3 women on each team. Participants can be students or alumni from UFE or other universities. You need to define a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) that is a mobile-first application, incorporates AI features, and is either in Arabic, English, or both. The project must address specific challenges for Egyptian women in either Health & Wellbeing or Green & Sustainable Innovation, be culturally rooted, and have potential for sustainability and real-world application. Submissions will include your general idea, envisioned deliverables, a nearly finished MVP, a developed business model, and a refined presentation.

Prizes

Innovatera Hackathon offers a total prize pool of $17,497. The first place winner will receive $10,000, the second place winner will get $5,000, and the third place winner will receive $2,497.
