hack.msa
Overview
hack.msa is the first Muslim hackathon hosted by Texas MSA at UT Austin, designed to inspire the next generation of Muslim builders. It's a beginner-friendly event for students of all majors to collaborate on creative technology solutions, learn new skills, and innovate. Mentors and workshops will be available to guide participants.
Requirements
All projects must be built during the hackathon period, from April 18th to April 19th, 2026. Submissions must be made on Devpost, and team members must be present in person during judging. Teams can have between 1 to 5 people. While a demo is strongly encouraged, it's okay if your hack is not finished, as completion is only one judging criterion. If you don't have a demo, a presentation about your learning process is acceptable.
Prizes
There is a total of $5,000 in cash prizes. The Main Track has prizes for 3rd place ($500), 2nd place ($1,000), and 1st place ($2,000). There are also track-specific prizes: $500 for the 'Giving Back Track', $500 for the 'Go-to-Market Track', and $500 for the 'Med Tech Track'.
