Hackathon 2025: Future in Focus
Overview
This hackathon challenges participants to design and develop impactful solutions for real-world problems. You can focus on improving accessibility and support for communities or creating solutions to streamline processes and enhance experiences. The event encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration and community-focused projects.
Requirements
Teams should consist of 3 to 4 members. Participation is open to University of Melbourne students who are above the legal age of majority in their country of residence, and participants must be college students. You need to submit a working prototype hosted on GitHub or a similar platform, a clear README with instructions, and a 2-3 minute demo video. Submissions must also disclose any open-source libraries, datasets, or AI-generated work used, and specify which track was chosen.
Prizes
There is a total of $800 in cash prizes. The first place winner will receive $350, the second place winner will get $250, and the third place winner will receive $200.
