Hack Dearborn: Escape Reality

Overview

Hack Dearborn: Escape Reality is a 24-hour hackathon hosted by Major League Hacking at the University of Michigan Dearborn. It's designed to be beginner-friendly, offering workshops and opportunities for students to create real-world solutions using technology across various tracks.

Requirements

Participants must be college students above the legal age of majority and can be from any country. Teams should consist of four members. Projects can be simple programs, websites, or complex software and must align with one of the following tracks: Code Green (Sustainability), Operation Auto-Drive (Automotive), Financial Firewall (Finance), or Mission Innovation (Creativity). Submissions require a project description, source code, executables, a slideshow presentation, and a live demonstration.

Prizes

9 non-cash prizes will be awarded, including an iPad (1st Place), Ray Ban Meta Sunglasses (2nd Place), Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 (3rd Place), and specific prizes for each track winner (IIWEY N5 Dash Cam, MNN Portable Monitor, Polaroid Hi Print, MYNT3D Pro 3D Pen). Additionally, there are prizes for 'Best Beginner Hack' (GPS Drone) and 'Cybersecurity Challenge' (Ring Camera).
