GKE Turns 10 Hackathon

Overview

Celebrate a decade of Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) with this global hackathon! Participants are invited to build next-generation microservices powered by AI agents, showcasing how GKE can be leveraged for cutting-edge AI workloads. The challenge details will be released on August 18th.

Requirements

Participants must be of legal age in their country of residence, with specific countries excluded. The hackathon focuses on building AI agents on GKE. Submissions will be evaluated on technological implementation (40%), demo & presentation (40%), and innovation & creativity (20%), with bonus points for published content, social media promotion, or contributions to sample code repositories.

Prizes

$50,000 in cash prizes are available, including a Grand Prize of $15,000, three Honorable Mentions of $1,000 each, and regional prizes of $8,000 for North America, Europe/Middle East/Africa, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Prizes also include Google Cloud credits, potential KubeCon conference passes and travel stipends, podcast interviews, social media features, and Google Developer Program subscriptions.
