GIRLCODE GHANA HACKATHON 2025

Overview

This hackathon challenges participants to develop solutions focused on the intersection of FinTech, Cybersecurity, and AI, aiming to 'Future-Proof Africa'. You'll be building innovative technologies that contribute to a resilient, inclusive, and digitally secure future for the continent. The event is designed to foster coding skills and encourage young women to enter the tech industry.

Requirements

Participants must be between 18 and 35 years old. Teams should consist of 2 to 4 members. Participation is limited to specific countries and territories. The hackathon will take place at GirlCode Headquarters starting August 22, 2025, with a deadline for submissions on September 14, 2025.

Prizes

The hackathon offers over $5,500 in cash prizes. The grand prize winner will receive $5,500. Additional prizes include $300 for 1st position, $100 for 2nd position, and $100 for 3rd position.
