Overview

FoundersHack Melbourne 2025, hosted by NextGen Ventures at Monash University, is a 72-hour startup-focused hackathon designed for aspiring entrepreneurs and student founders. It emphasizes ideation, building, and testing ideas in a fast-paced environment, with precursor workshops on problem validation and prototyping.

Requirements

Participants must be college students above the legal age of majority in their country of residence and must form teams of 2 to 5 members. The hackathon is open to specific countries/territories. Submissions require a prototype of the presented product or service, raw code files, pitch slides detailing the problem and solution, a video demonstration of the prototype, and any additional gathered resources, research, and insights.

Prizes

$1,700 in cash prizes: FoundersHack 1st Place ($1,000), FoundersHack 2nd Place ($500), and FoundersHack 3rd Place ($200).
