ERNIE AI Developer Challenge

Overview

This hackathon challenges developers to build intelligent solutions using Baidu's ERNIE models and PaddlePaddle. You can create practical robots or creative applications, fine-tune models for specific tasks, or push the boundaries of model inference and deployment. The goal is to explore the capabilities of ERNIE and PaddlePaddle in real-world applications.

Requirements

Participants must be of legal age in their country of residence and can join from any country. You can build web pages, fine-tune AI models, or develop applications. Submissions for the Warm-up Task involve a deployed web page. For model-building tasks, you need to submit open-sourced fine-tuned model weights, your fine-tuning code with clear documentation, a description of your project, and a demonstration video of up to 5 minutes. For application-building tasks, you'll submit a functional demo application, the full source code repository with a clear README, a project description, and a demonstration video of up to 5 minutes.

Prizes

There are over $10,000 in cash prizes and other rewards. 10,000 participants can receive a certificate and Baidu AI Studio tokens for the Warm-up Task. Specific prizes include $1,000 cash for each of the 3 winners in Best ERNIE Fine-Tune using Unsloth, Best ERNIE Fine-Tune using LlamaFactory, and Best PaddleOCR-VL Fine-Tune. There are also cash prizes for ERNIE Multimodel Applications and D-Robotics S100 development kits for the Best in Edge AI & Robotics category. Additional prizes include Novita vouchers and CAMEL-AI plan subscriptions for various categories.
