DigitalOcean Gradient™ AI Hackathon

Overview

This hackathon challenges you to build and launch new AI-powered applications using DigitalOcean Gradient™ AI's full-stack features. You'll work on everything from model training to deployment, aiming to create real, production-ready AI solutions, not just prototypes. It's a great chance to learn about full-stack AI development and use GPU-powered infrastructure on a developer-focused cloud platform.

Requirements

Anyone above the legal age of majority in their country can participate, as long as they are not part of a company or professional organization. The hackathon is open to participants worldwide, with the usual exceptions. You need to build a new, working application that uses DigitalOcean Gradient™ AI. For submission, you'll need to provide a URL to a public code repository with all necessary source code, assets, and instructions, including an open-source license. A video (around 3 minutes) demonstrating your submission, uploaded to YouTube, Vimeo, or Facebook Video, is also required. Optionally, you can provide a URL to a functional demo application and a detailed project description explaining its usage and knowledge of DigitalOcean Gradient™ AI.

Prizes

There's a total of $20,000 in cash prizes. The first-place winner gets $8,000 cash and $600 in DigitalOcean credits. Second place receives $4,000 cash and $400 in credits, while third place gets $2,000 cash and $200 in credits. There are also special prizes of $2,000 cash each for 'Best AI Agent Persona', 'The Great Whale Prize', and 'Best Program for the People'.
