DiamondHacks 2026

Overview

DiamondHacks 2026, organized by ACM @ UCSD, is San Diego's largest hackathon. This 36-hour event on April 4th-5th is a competition for college students to team up, build projects across various tracks, attend workshops, and win prizes.

Requirements

This hackathon is open to college students above the legal age of majority from all countries. Submissions must be in English and uploaded on Devpost. Teams need to provide a 3-minute video explaining their project's inspiration and development, including a demo. Your code and any necessary files to run it must be included. To qualify for the beginner prize, team members should have attended at most 2 hackathons or have less than a year of programming experience.

Prizes

DiamondHacks 2026 offers over $24,760 in cash and other prizes. The top three overall winners receive cash prizes ($4,500 for 1st, $3,000 for 2nd, $1,800 for 3rd) along with tech gadgets like AirPods Pro, Keychron Keyboards, and JBL Speakers. There are also cash prizes and specific items for track winners in categories like Social Impact, Health, Education, Commerce, and Wildcard. Additional prizes are available for Best Interactive AI, Best Use of Browser Use, Best Use of Fetch.ai, Qualcomm Multi-Device Track, TwelveLabs, Best Solo Hack, Best Duo Hack, Best Beginner Hack, Best Mobile Hack, Best UI/UX, and Best AI/ML Hack.
