DeerHacks V (2026)

Overview

DeerHacks V celebrates 5 years of innovation with a 36-hour coding and problem-solving event. It's a great opportunity to showcase your technical interests and skills, with workshops and activities planned. You'll build a project from scratch and present it to experienced judges and industry experts. The hackathon is open to college students worldwide and is beginner-friendly, making it perfect for those new to tech.

Requirements

This hackathon is open to college students over the legal age of majority in their country of residence. Companies and professional organizations are not eligible to participate. You must build a software or hardware project from scratch, and no coding is allowed before the official start time. Submissions are due on Devpost by Saturday at 10:00 PM, with coding continuing until Sunday at 8:00 AM. Make sure to check Discord for judging room and time assignments and arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled pitch.

Prizes

DeerHacks V offers 7 non-cash prizes. These include Google Swag Kits for the Best Use of Gemini API, Beats Solo Earbuds for the Best Use of ElevenLabs, a Ledger Nano S Plus for the Best Use of Solana, portable monitors for the Best Use of Vultr, an M5Stack Tab5 for the Best Use of Snowflake API, and wireless headphones for the Best Use of Auth0. There is also a 'Coming Soon' prize category with 3 winners.
