Deep Learning Day Fall 2025

Overview

This hackathon invites college students to explore deep learning research by working on a final project. You'll apply what you've learned to a topic of your interest, which could involve implementing research papers or creating new projects. The goal is to give you a feel for deep learning research and hopefully get you excited about pursuing it further.

Requirements

Participants must be college students and above the legal age of majority in their country. You need to form a team of 3-4 people. This hackathon is only open to participants in the US. Teams will be assigned a mentor TA to guide them throughout the process. Projects will be evaluated based on goal completion, meeting deadlines, and professionalism in reports and presentations. You should be prepared to conduct quantitative ablation studies and qualitative evaluations of your models.

Prizes

There is one non-cash prize: a $25 gift card awarded to a single winner.
