CXC 2026 - AI Hackathon

Overview

CXC 2026 - AI Hackathon is a 36-hour event focused on AI and machine learning, offering networking opportunities and significant prizes. You'll build an AI-related project, with a strong emphasis on meaningful AI implementation.

Requirements

Participation is limited to registered CXC participants who are above the legal age of majority. All team members must have checked in at the venue. Your project must be developed during the hackathon period and cannot have been submitted to other hackathons. A key requirement is that your project must have a substantial AI or machine learning component, such as using LLMs, HuggingFace models, custom ML models, or AI for good. Basic automation or rule-based logic without AI won't qualify. You need to make a draft submission on Devpost by Saturday evening, and a 2-3 minute video demo is required. Your team will also pitch in person to judges.

Prizes

There are over $2,500 in cash prizes, including $1,000 for first place and $500 for second place, with prizes distributed among up to 4 team members. Additionally, there are several category prizes such as a Magma Lamp for Most Creative Data Visualization, a Mini Portable Projector for Best Use of AI for Good, Wireless Headphones for Best Audio AI Hack, and a Gaming Monitor for Most Technically Impressive Hack. There are also cash prizes from sponsors like Backboard.io and various tech-related prizes from MLH for using specific APIs like Gemini, Solana, and ElevenLabs.
