Cure 4 Cancer
Overview
The Cure 4 Cancer hackathon, organized by Hack4Health, challenges participants to use real biomedical data to build machine learning models for early cancer detection, progression forecasting, or interpretability. The goal is to make computational health innovation accessible to high school and undergraduate students, democratizing access to authentic datasets and expert mentorship.
Requirements
This hackathon is open to individuals aged 13 and older from all countries. Participants are required to join the Hack4Health Discord server to be eligible for prizes. Submission requirements include a 2-3 page PDF report detailing the problem framing, methods, and evaluation, along with a reproducible notebook (Google Colab or Jupyter). The dataset and full instructions will be released in Fall 2026.
Prizes
There is a total of $15,000 in cash prizes. The top three winners will each receive $5,000, totaling approximately $15,000. The organizers are also seeking additional sponsors for prizes.
