Chroma Awards: AI Film, Music Videos, and Games

Overview

This hackathon invites creators to use AI to produce films, music videos, and games. The goal is to bring together creators, communities, and companies worldwide to explore how AI can push the boundaries of media production and help artists tell stories without limits. You can use AI as a tool in your creative process, but human creativity should remain the core component of your submission.

Requirements

Participants must be of legal age in their country of residence, though specific countries are excluded. Submissions must be original work created after February 1st, 2025, and submitted as a public online video link (like YouTube or Vimeo), not Google Drive links. All submissions must be voiced or subtitled in English, or have no dialogue at all. If you use a specific AI tool for a sponsor award, you must include its "Tool Tag" and use the tool. You can submit multiple unique projects, but they must be substantially different from each other. Your submission must not violate third-party rights, contain defamatory statements, threats, be obscene, promote discrimination, or include unauthorized third-party logos or music. You must also have permission for any individuals depicted or whose voices are used.

Prizes

There is a total of $176,500 in cash prizes available across different categories. For Film, 1st place wins $2,000, 2nd place wins $1,000, and 3rd place wins $500, with multiple winners in each category. Music Video and Games also have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes of $2,000, $1,000, and $500 respectively. Additionally, there are significant prizes for Title, Gold, and Silver Sponsors, including $6,000 for 1st place Title Sponsor winners and $3,000 for 1st place Gold Sponsor winners.
