Overview

This hackathon challenges you to use real, de-identified biomedical data to build machine learning models for early detection, progression forecasting, or understanding cardiovascular disease risk. The goal is to make health innovation accessible to motivated high school and undergraduate students. Hack4Health provides authentic datasets, practical tools, and mentorship to help students create impactful solutions.

Requirements

Participants must be at least 13 years old and can be from any country. Teams need to submit a 2-3 page PDF report detailing their problem framing, methods, and evaluation, along with a reproducible notebook using Google Colab or Jupyter. Joining the Discord server is mandatory to be eligible for prizes.

Prizes

There are $351,000 in prizes available. For the Upper Division (18+), first, second, and third place winners will each receive $4,000 cash, plus sponsor prizes valued around $4,000 combined. For the Lower Division (13-18), first, second, and third place winners will each receive $3,000 cash, plus sponsor prizes valued around $3,000 combined. Additionally, 1,000 participants will receive a Participant Prize including cash and various software subscriptions.
