BGI Hackathon 2026 – Vision 2047: Viksit Bharat
Overview
This national-level hackathon, themed 'Vision 2047: Viksit Bharat,' challenges students to develop technology-driven solutions in areas like AI, Cybersecurity, Smart Cities, and Agriculture. You'll focus on creating functional prototypes that address real-world problems and contribute to India's development goals.
Requirements
This hackathon is open to college students aged 18 and above, requiring teams of 2 to 5 members. You'll first submit an idea proposal as a 6-slide PDF by April 27th. Shortlisted teams will be invited to the offline Grand Finale in Bhopal or Indore. For the final round, you must present a working demo or detailed simulation of your solution. Submissions also require a project description, an optional demo video, a GitHub/code repository link, a Bonafide Certificate, and proof of registration after paying a ₹1000 fee.
Prizes
The hackathon offers a total of ₹600,000 in prizes. For each problem statement, there's a ₹25,000 cash prize for the winner and a ₹12,000 cash prize for the runner-up. Additionally, there's a special prize of ₹8,000 cash for an internship, product development, or placement opportunity.
