Baseline Tooling Hackathon
Overview
The Baseline Tooling Hackathon challenges you to build tools that help web developers easily adopt modern web features. You can integrate Baseline data into existing tools like linters or IDEs, or create something entirely new. The goal is to make it simpler for developers to know when new web features are ready for production.
Requirements
This hackathon is open to anyone above the legal age of majority in their country, with some exceptions for specific countries. You need to build a project that integrates Baseline data about web features with developer tools, such as linters, transpilers, IDEs, or documentation. When submitting, you'll need to provide a URL to your hosted project, a detailed text description, answers to submission questions, a link to your public code repository, confirm an open-source license for your project, and include a demo video that is at least 3 minutes long.
Prizes
There's a total of $10,000 in cash prizes. The first-place winner receives $5,000, social promotion on Chrome for Developers, a feature in a web.dev blog post and newsletter, and a 30-minute meeting with the Chrome Team. Second place gets $3,000, and third place receives $1,000, along with the same promotional benefits and meeting. Additionally, the ten participants who submit the most valuable feedback will each receive $100.
