Badger Build Fest

Overview

Badger Build Fest is a 24-hour event that combines a hackathon with a pitch competition, focusing on either the Venture or Blockchain tracks. Participants will build the next big thing, with the Venture track requiring an MVP and market validation, and the Blockchain track focused on creating secure, decentralized applications. This event is beginner-friendly and aims to foster innovation in these two key areas.

Requirements

This hackathon is open to students in the US who are above the legal age of majority. Participants are required to submit their demo, pitch deck, and code. The event combines both building and presenting, so a functional product and a compelling presentation are key.

Prizes

There is a total of $5,800 in prizes and $900 in crypto. The Venture and Blockchain tracks each offer a first prize of $1,000 cash and a second prize of $500 cash. There are also third prizes of $200 cash for each track. Additional prizes include $150 of USDC for specific blockchain SDK usage (Turtle.xyz, Gemni) and for Solana sponsorship. Several sub-awards are also available for the Venture track.
