BACSA Hacks

Overview

BACSA Hacks is a student-led hackathon where computer science and biotechnology come together to tackle real-world health and forensic issues. You'll work in teams to create data-driven solutions, focusing on either disease detection using things like DNA or image recognition, or health improvement with tools like nutrition trackers. There's also a special challenge to build a forensics system that analyzes crime scene evidence to identify suspects.

Requirements

This hackathon is for approved participants who are of legal age in their country of residence and is open to all countries except for standard exceptions. While the event is invite-only, it is beginner-friendly. Teams need to submit their code on Github and on DevPost. Students participating in the open challenge can also submit a video demo for bonus points.

Prizes

There are four non-cash prizes available. The winner of the closed challenge will receive four M96 Wireless Gaming Keyboards. For the open challenge, the first-place winner gets four Soundcore Wireless Earbuds, and the second-place winner receives four INIU Portable Chargers. Additionally, there's a prize for the best use of Gemini, which includes four Google swag kits.
