Amazon Nova AI Hackathon
Overview
This hackathon challenges you to build generative AI applications using Amazon Nova, a suite of foundation models and services. You'll get to experiment with advanced features like reasoning, tool use, and voice AI to create solutions that solve real-world problems. It's a great opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI and make a real impact.
Requirements
You can participate as an individual or in a team, and you must be 18 or older. Some countries are excluded from participation. Your project must use Amazon Nova foundation models or the Nova Act service, but you can use any programming language, frameworks like AWS Strands or LangChain, and tools. You need to submit a text description of your project, a 3-minute demo video, and a link to your code repository. For a bonus prize, you can also write a blog post about your project's community impact.
Prizes
There's a total prize pool of over $40,000 in cash and $55,000 in AWS credits. The first prize winner gets $15,000 cash and $5,000 in AWS credits. Other prizes include $7,000 cash for second place, and several category prizes like Best of Agentic System, Best of Multimodal Understanding, and Best Student App, each with $3,000 cash and $5,000 in AWS credits. There are also bonus prizes for blog posts and feedback submissions.
