AlgoFest Hackathon 2026

Overview

AlgoFest Hackathon 2026 challenges you to blend strong algorithmic thinking with practical applications. You'll build robust, efficient solutions to real-world problems across tracks like AI, Sustainable Tech, FinTech, HealthTech, and Smart Cities. This hackathon is mentorship-driven, connecting you with industry experts to learn and grow while developing your projects.

Requirements

Participants must be of legal age in their country of residence and can join from anywhere. Teams should have up to 6 members. You need to build a functional prototype that shows clear problem identification, an innovative solution, good technical implementation, usability, and scalability. Your submission must include a project title and description, a 2-5 minute demo video, source code in a public repository like GitHub, and a list of technologies used. A live demo link and a presentation deck are also recommended.

Prizes

This hackathon offers over $5,000 in cash prizes. The 1st place winner gets $2,500, 2nd place gets $1,000, and 3rd place receives $500. There are also 10 theme-based prizes of $100 each for the best projects in AI/ML, Sustainable Tech, FinTech, HealthTech, Smart City/IoT, and Open Innovation. Additionally, 10 special awards recognize top beginner teams, design, innovation, social impact, and people's choice. All participants receive a certificate and access to workshops and networking.
