AI Workflow Automation Challenge 2026

Overview

This hackathon challenges you to build production-grade AI automation systems that eliminate repetitive business workflows and demonstrate measurable ROI. It's focused on creating practical solutions for document-heavy and workflow-intensive environments, aiming for systems that businesses would actually pay for.

Requirements

You need to build an AI-powered workflow automation system that solves a real business problem, automates repetitive work (typically 10+ hours per week), uses intelligent AI integration (like LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG), and follows scalable architecture principles. Submissions must include a public GitHub repository with clean code and setup instructions, an architecture diagram, an explanation of the business impact (time saved, cost reduction), and a 3-minute demo video. A live demo is strongly recommended. Projects that are incomplete prototypes, lack AI integration, don't show a real business use case, or are simple chatbot wrappers without automation logic may be disqualified.

Prizes

There's a total of $56,500 in cash prizes. The first prize is $40,000, with the winner potentially receiving an internship leading to a full-time job offer. The second prize is $15,000. Additionally, the top 10 projects will each receive $1,500.
