AI Hackfest

Overview

This hackathon is all about building smart projects that can think and make decisions, aiming to be even better than humans. You can build anything you want, but the theme is focused on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning. It's a great chance to dive into AI, even if you're new to it, and have fun creating something cool.

Requirements

Teams can have any size, but it's generally best to aim for up to 4 people. Participants must be 13 years or older and students only; companies and professional organizations are not allowed. You need to submit a demo video that's 2 minutes or less, and your code should be in a public repository. Both your code and video must stay public after the event to be eligible for prizes. Make sure your demo video starts by stating the hackathon's name. You also need to complete all registration steps on Devpost, including checking in on MLH's event page, ensuring your email matches across all platforms. Projects must be created during the hackathon weekend, and you can't submit the same project to other hackathons or use prior work.

Prizes

This hackathon offers 7 non-cash prizes. There's a 'Best Beginner Hack' award for teams with at least 50% first-time hackers, which includes Smart Plugs. The 'Most Useless Hack' prize celebrates creativity and silliness. Other prizes include Google Swag Kits for the 'Best Use of Gemini API,' Wireless Earbuds for the 'Best Use of ElevenLabs,' a Ledger Nano S Plus for the 'Best Use of Solana,' a Retro Wireless Mouse for the 'Best Use of DigitalOcean,' and a Raspberry Pi 4 for the 'Best Use of Snowflake API.'
