#75HER Challenge Hackathon 2026
Overview
The #75HER Challenge Hackathon is focused on building technology with and for women and marginalized communities, encouraging thoughtful innovation to solve real problems. It's part of a 75-day journey culminating on International Women's Day, emphasizing responsible solutions that people can use, not just cool tech.
Requirements
This is a participation-based challenge, so sustained engagement is rewarded. To be eligible for final judging and awards, teams must complete an Onboarding Quest and demonstrate participation throughout the program, such as attending workshops, contributing during the Idea-thon, or incorporating feedback. Projects must align with at least one track: AI/Machine Learning (requiring Block's open-source agentic AI framework), Blockchain, or AR/VR/XR. Teams must be 3 to 5 members, aged 17+, and from any country. Submissions require a working prototype (hosted link preferred or runnable file with setup instructions), a 3-5 minute demo video, a public code repository with documentation, and ideally, detailed project documentation. Projects are evaluated on clarity, proof, usability, rigor, and polish.
Prizes
There is a total of $1,500 in cash prizes awarded as Community Builder Awards. The specific track awards are $600 for Best Use of AI/ML (with Goose), $500 for Best Use of AR/VR/XR, and $400 for Best Use of Blockchain. Each project can only win one track award, and teams must select one primary category for evaluation.
