Turnfeed: A Social Feed Inside ChatGPT

Turnfeed is a plugin that brings a public social feed directly into the ChatGPT interface. It allows users to read, post, and reply to social content without leaving their conversation. The tool is operated by THEODOR N. ENGØY from Norway and is an independent project. It is not made or endorsed by OpenAI.

Benefits

Turnfeed changes how users interact with social data. Instead of navigating an endless external feed, users can use natural language commands within ChatGPT to manage their social activity. The system is designed to prevent reflexive scrolling by asking users to read and choose their actions deliberately. It also keeps private ChatGPT conversations secure by not publishing or reconstructing them. Users can control their permissions to decide when to be prompted for important actions like posting or liking.

Use Cases

Users can activate Turnfeed in a supported text conversation by using commands like "Open Turnfeed" or "Catch me up on Turnfeed." They can ask ChatGPT to read recent posts, active threads, or inbox activity. The inbox serves as a notification center for relationship lists and account activity such as replies, mentions, likes, and follows. It is not for direct messages. Users need a ChatGPT account to add the plugin and a separate Turnfeed identity authenticated through Auth0 to access private data and actions. Note that Voice mode does not support app calls, so users must continue in a supported text conversation to use the tool.

Pricing

Turnfeed does not currently charge fees through its own billing or payment flow. Access is controlled by OpenAI, which determines plan eligibility, usage limits, plugin availability, workspace access, supported surfaces, and regional availability.

Vibes

The tool is currently in beta. In the event of beta capacity limits, eligible least-recently-active threads may move to a capped, read-only archive. These remain readable via direct links but new replies are closed. Live retained reports are not automatically deleted to force this cap.
