LearnlyAI is a cutting-edge SaaS application designed to transform study sessions by converting text into smart, concise flashcards. This project leverages Next.js, Firebase, and AI to provide an intuitive and seamless experience for users. LearnlyAI offers features such as effortless text input, intelligent flashcards, and anywhere, anytime access. It also provides subscription plans, including a Pro plan that is currently free as additional features are developed. The application is built with Next.js, styled with Material-UI, and integrates with Clerk for user authentication, Firebase Firestore for data storage, Google Generative AI for flashcard creation, and Stripe for payment processing. The code structure includes pages for generating flashcards, viewing flashcard sets, and managing subscriptions, along with reusable components for consistency and modularity. The main components include app/page.js for the landing page, app/generate/page.js for generating flashcards, app/api/generate/route.js for handling flashcard generation requests, firebase.js for Firebase configuration, and theme.js for Material-UI theme configuration. The easiest way to deploy LearnlyAI is using the Vercel Platform, which provides infrastructure, tools, and SDKs for building, deploying, and scaling AI agents. The project welcomes community contributions and is licensed under the MIT License. LearnlyAI is developed by Salmaan Rauf, a Computer Science student at Cal State Fullerton (class of '26) and a GenAI Engineering Intern at Robert Half. Previously, he worked as an AI Security Researcher at Disney and as a Software Engineer at Develop For Good, where he built a React-based platform for volunteer management. He also completed a fellowship at Headstarter AI, developing projects including an AI customer support system and a RAG-powered chatbot.
