CVAI

CVAI, or Comprehensive Vocational Academies International, is a group that wants to give good education to people in developing countries. They want to help students become good people with skills that help them find jobs. This is very important in places like Cameroon, where many young people do not have jobs and it is hard to get education after primary school.

CVAI started because of the need for better education in Cameroon. In 2000, a pastor from Cameroon met a couple who had been teachers in Nigeria. They talked and visited Cameroon. A team of Christian teachers saw that there was a need for good vocational training after high school. So, in 2002, CVAI became a non-profit group. They wanted to teach religious, school, and job skills. They wanted to help young people make a difference in their country.

In 2004, CVAI worked with the Cameroon Baptist Convention to start a new school. They had some problems at first, but in 2010, they started helping at Baptist Comprehensive High School in Belo. They trained teachers, made labs, and gave things like computers and sewing machines. They also helped local pastors learn computer skills and fixed workshops with new supplies.
