Collabook is a platform that lets people create and play in story-driven survival games. It uses advanced AI, called Large Language Models or LLMs, to help build and run these games. Think of it as a way to make games where stories are central and the AI acts like a game master.

Collabook makes game creation easier by using AI as a partner. It ensures that game details like character abilities, items, and story progress are always remembered and followed. This means the AI doesn't just make things up randomly; it follows the game's rules. The games focus on survival, where players need to manage things like hunger and fatigue, and their choices really matter for their character's development.

Use Cases

Players can create a character and choose from different game worlds. Currently, there are three options: an epic fantasy world called 'Realm of Eternal Magic,' a science fiction setting called 'Horizon Beyond Stars,' and a historical adventure called 'Echoes of the Past.' Each world has its own style, characters, and items, which helps the AI create a more focused experience. The game progresses in real-time, with one real day equaling one in-game day, adding a layer of urgency to survival.

Collabook was built as an experiment to see how AI could be used to create engaging game experiences. The goal was to build something playable that enhances imagination instead of replacing it. The project was developed by Alessandro Perotti.
