It works by creating a structured knowledge base using a tool called Anytype. This makes it compatible with AI tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.

Normally, AI assistants start fresh every time. They don't know what you talked about before, what your goals are, or what has worked in the past. This makes it hard for the AI to learn and get better over time. Anytype Mind solves this by giving the AI a kind of digital 'brain' where it can store and organize information. As you talk with the AI, it automatically saves details, relationships between ideas, and how well it's doing. This creates a growing memory that the AI can use.

Users can interact with the system using specific commands. For example, a/standupcommand can be used for daily check-ins, and a/dumpcommand allows users to save freeform information. At the end of a session, awrap upcommand helps review what was covered. The system also includes specialized agents that can help with tasks like spotting achievements, loading context, and organizing information.

Additional Information

To set up Anytype Mind, you first need to install Anytype and create an API key. Then, you run a setup script to create the necessary types and properties in your Anytype space. After that, you configure your AI tool by copying specific files and adding provided configurations. The system requires Python 3 or Node.js. Data is stored as typed objects with properties and relations, and an Anytype MCP server allows AI agents to interact with the Anytype API. The system uses 12 object types and various relations to create a detailed record of information. Five lifecycle hooks automatically manage data routing, and there are 14 slash commands available for different tasks.
